OUTCOME:

  • You will gain better understanding of orthogonal projection.
  • You will be proficient to navigate around the Rhino Interface and be able to identify which commands to use, in addition to being able to refer using the correct technical terms.
  • You will know the difference between points, lines, surfaces, solids, and mesh.
  • You will be able to draw geometrical lines, shapes, and organic curves, e.g. angular lines, arc, circle, ellipse, polygons, freeform curves; and able to join them correctly.
  • You will learn to trace an image and do a simple conversion into a solid object as well as manipulate the object using basic transform commands.
  • You will be able to produce solid shapes and know how to manipulate them using the Boolean functions, such as Union of Difference.
  • You will understand the difference between 3DM and STL files and able to prepare the output file correctly for 3D printing.
  • You will gain the knowledge and basic skills to CAD modelling and can progress to the next level.
